Everyone knows what a great drummer our Drumbot is, but how many knew that he was fully functional in other important skills as well? Well, our own Lab Tech Remy does! This song goes out to all the ladies who have a special relationship with a little electro-mechanical friend... yes, we are talking about human/robot dating here. WHAT DID YOU THINK WE WERE TALKING ABOUT? This song started with a keyboard idea in the summer of 2011, and lay dormant for practically a year before we decided, "what the hell, we need a Remy / drumbot duet!" We already had a chorus and a few lyrical ideas by then courtesy of Billy and Barbie, and it really wasn't too tough for me to come up with a verse and a bunch of other lyrics. A writing jam session in summer 2012 finished it off with a few choice lines and then it was just a matter of recording it. It was a bit of effort to get the guitars just cheesy enough! Chris obliged with a two hour session, playing the most cheese-tastic Bryan Adams style rubbish he could come up with, through his standard setup (his black Fender Stratocaster through a Boss Metal Zone pedal, into his faithful Fender Deluxe, miked with a Shure 57.) Bass and keyboard were done pretty conventionally (bass was Jim's purple heart custom bass through his Trace Elliot, keyboards were done on Billy's new Roland Juno.) Vocals were a little challenge; drumbot had to sound kind of flat but also kind of in key... nailed it in a couple takes, LOL. Final icing on this already syruppy cake was Chris Flattmann, who insisted on coming in to lay down some 'wakachika' porn-groovy guitar and basso vocals at the very end of the song. A video for this song was very briefly discussed, but we concluded that there was practically no way to avoid it getting an M-rating - and if there's one thing we're NOT, it's 'Mature'!
