LO! BO! TO! MY!
LO! BO! TO! MY!

Small part of you wants to die
But most of you wishes to live
There must be a solution to this problem
Here's some advice that I'm happy to give
The source of your consternation
Is buried deep inside of your head
Get rid of the defective part of yourself
You'd be a lot happier if you were Brain Dead!

LO! BO! TO! MY!
LO! BO! TO! MY!

Politicians on the right
Politicians on the left

LO! BO! TO! MY!
LO! BO! TO! MY!

Take a nice sharpened object
A number two pencil will do
Ram it up your nose just as hard as you can
The pain goes away in an hour or two
You'll wake up in a whole new frame of mind
And then you'll know how good life can be
Now you'll be just as happy as me!
You just gave yourself a lobotomy!

LO! BO! TO! MY!
LO!! BO!! TO!! MY!!!

"Have you, sir, been having any problems with your present brain?" "Uhhh, no..." "SILENCE!"

Now HERE's one of our signature songs! This was actually written Kirk Madison & I, way back in 1994 as 'Stress', based upon the high pressure our college test taking experiences (something I don't miss in the slightest!)

Since this wasn't included on our Free Brains & Dead Bodies album, we decided to include it on our 2004 release, making it the only remaining track from the original bunch that wasn't written exclusively for 'In C.O.G. We Trust'. This song has also been played at practically every C.O.G. lecture since the beginning, and includes some fun 'audience participation' in the form of a personal LoBoToMy with our great invention, the Sonic Mind Probe!

Just before recording this one, I added a little bridge to the song, just after the 'lobotomization' part, to kick it up a notch, as it were, as well as a sketch/prologue that actually extends INTO the song itself, as a kind of surrogate for the stage action and audience participation.

This song took a LONG time to mix before we were really happy with it. Jeff King and I passed the project back and forth for months between our computers, each of us tweaking it slightly, until we were both happy with the sound of the guitars. The coup de grace was muting all the background tracks for a half note during the final scream (parodying the song 'Out of Control' by Hoobastank).
